Aussie Trip 2015 :: My Convocation at University of Wollongong

Assalamualaikum,

Hari ni I nak update gambar-gambar masa convocation yang lepas. Sebenarnya takde la beria ambik gambar sangat pun. Pagi-pagi dalam pukul 8am, sampai je uni I pegi ambik documents dekat student centre and terus diorang pakaikan jubah siap pin apa semua. Kalau bukak tu memang tak reti pakai balik la nampak gayanya. So, sementara tak ramai orang lagi, kitorang terus bergambar dekat kawasan sekitar je.

I tak sempat nak pegi as time did not permit. But it's okay, asalkan ada gambar untuk kenangan pun dah ok dah. Ohh, bila tulis enrty ni, I teringat I ada update satu entry about my friends yang dah graduated a few years back. And to my surprise, Allah swt has granted me with almost EVERYTHING that I wished for back then. Sesungguhnya DIA Maha Pemurah dan Maha Pengasih. You can read HERE for the details if you like. :)

So, let's enjoy the photos, shall we? :)

UniBar. My frequent hang out place. Teringat chips dengan wedges kat sini sedap gila.

Stairways to the duck pond. Again, another nice place to chill out with friends.
Pekena coffee and sandwich sambil tengok orang memang best. :)

Laluan hari-hari untuk ke office. Rindu.

My husband. I couldn't thank him enough for being very supportive all this while.

My parents. Their prayers sustain me in everything I do.

They complete my life.

I hope I brought smiles to their faces.

Simple ceremony. But very meaningful to me. :)

What I conclude here, perjalanan PhD setiap orang memang takkan sama. For me a few pieces of paper that I received that day were only a symbol that my PhD journey has ended. What I treasure the most is the values I gained in the process of completing it. I didn't regret of doing it but if you ask me to do another one, thank you, but NO THANK YOU. :)

A place to be missed

Assalamualaikum semua,

Hari ni tetiba rasa rindu a place that I used to call home
Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia
A coastal city as what the Australian call it
Stunning coastline, rockpools, ocean bath, sheltered beaches, great waves
Complete elements for a great beach experience
How can I not miss all these huh?

Wollongong Coastal City.
(Pic taken from here)

Biasanya kalau pegi sini mesti hati tenang je
Every time rasa sedih, or serabut, I akan naik free shuttle bus terus pegi pantai
And got myself a cup of hot chocolate
Then cari port kat mana-mana batu yang mengadap laut
I could spend hours and hours by just sitting there and looking at the wide open sea
Kalau nasib baik, dapat tengok ikan paus or ikan lumba-lumba

Most of the time, terapi pantai ni sangat berhasil untuk cheer me up
Because I normally do a lot of serious thinking tiap-tiap kali tengok laut lepas
Bila hati tenang, keputusan yang diambil biasanya tend to be a lot wiser
And I immediately feel better after that

I learn a lot sepanjang beberapa tahun kehidupan I dekat Wollongong ni
About life, faith, love and many more
And for this, I thank Allah for all the chances He has given me to improve myself
I will never forget this place
A place that I found me

When I wasn't even 25 years old

Celebrating UOW's summer graduation

Assalamualaikum,

Hari ni mood orang grad sekali lagi meresap masuk kat dalam badan. huahuahua. Masuk sesi ni, dah banyak kali I tumpang celebrate orang graduate kat University of Wollongong ni. Nak-nak pulak kali ni I meraikan dua kawan baik sepanjang I belajar dekat sini. Kira hari ni macam special entry dedicated to them. :)

First of all, I want to congratulate Dr Norlaili Ahmad. Hari ni secara rasminya dia dianugerahkan gelaran Doktor Falsafah. Best kan? Muda-muda lagi dah dapat Doktor. Harap dapat ikut jejak langkah Laili secepat mungkin. huhu. She used to be my house-mate for a couple of months during my first year in Australia.

Me and Fatin with Laili.
Eh, Dr Norlaili. hehe.

Sepanjang  berkawan dengan Laili, macam-macam jugak yang I belajar. Tempat berkongsi masalah pun ye jugak terutamanya bab-bab PhD ni. Memandangkan office kitorang dekat-dekat so selalu la turun minum sama-sama. Banyak kenangan sebenarnya dengan Laili sepanjang I dok sini.

Secondly, I want to wish my best congratulations to my brother here, Rem or Rahimi Radzi. I know how hard he has been working to let today comes true. And he deserves it! You are officially qualified to be an engineer today Rem!! Anyway, he is also from Penang, muka pun sepesen, mata sepet macam I jugak, sebab tu dah anggap macam adik beradik dah si Rem ni. haha.

Group photo with Rem. Engineer qualified.
You made it there bro!! Congrats!!

Rem ni bagus orangnya, hormat orang tak kira la tua atau muda, sangat bertanggungjawab, hardworking in his studies, main games pun rajin jugak hehehe, very gentleman and he respects woman very highly. Ehh, macam promote pulak tapi tu memang hakikatnya. Sapa nak kenai mai sini jumpa kakak dia dulu ambik testimonial. Confirm kasi up kaw-kaw punya. kehkehkeh. :p

UOW graduates, Summer 2012.
Rahimi Radzi, Dr Norlaili, Ahmad Syafik.
Tahniah korangggg!!! :)

And then petang tu pulak I jumpa Kak Yati. She is known as a very determined person, especially in her studies and the way she handled her life and her family. Sebak tadi bila tengok parents Kak Yati peluk cium dia sebagai tanda tahniah. Berkat dari doa ibu bapa, she made it today. She is my idol, Dr Norhayati Baharun. But too bad I don't have any photo with her in my camera. Semua dalam camera Abang Ariff. But it's okay, kenangan tu yang penting.

When I look at them, I can't wait to end this journey fast, and InsyaAllah my turn to celebrate will come soon. Amin.
