Assalamualaikum semua!

What have you guys been up to today? Ada pergi jalan mana-mana? Or spend quality time dengan family dekat rumah je? Me? I went shopping! Weee! Amboi asal pergi mall je suka bukan main dia. haha.

Hari ni I dengan Fatin ikut Kak Fish and family pergi shopping mall dekat McArthur Square, Campbeltown. Tempat tu dekat je, lebih kurang 50 minit je dari Wollongong. Semua kedai yang ada dekat situ pun best best. Cukup lah untuk buat semua orang rambang mata. hehe.

It also has a long list of nice halal restaurant and prior to that, Kak Fish booked us in for 1pm lunch at Platinum Grill Restaurant. Semua makanan sedap and harga pun not too bad. So semua orang dapat makan full western foods dengan harga yang berpatutan dan dijamin halal sepenuhnya. :)

Apa hasil shopping hari ni? Haa meh sini nak cerita. If you still remember, almost a year ago, I told you about how my boots hunting turned into a major dissapointment kan? Siapa yang tak ingat boleh baca dekat sini. So today, I finally found the exact same boots but this time the price is wayyyy cheaper than the one that I wanted last year. Happy happy happy! :)

Can you imagine, bila kita ada satu benda yang kita betol-betol nak, tapi terpaksa lupakan sebab perkara yang tak dapat dielakkan, so you patiently waited until you get exactly what you really wanted, and when you finally got it, perasaan tu indah tak terkata. Sungguh! :)

What cheers me up tonight?

Hai!!

I'm feeling so alive now because finally my internet connection is back. Lompat lompat bintang! Yahuu! Dah 2 minggu kot rasa lost gila bila balik rumah cause I felt like I was totally disconnected from the world. haha. Over! Boleh nampak tak macam mana kesan internet dalam kehidupan kita sekarang? Gejala yang sungguh tidak sihat. huhu.

Walaupun I guna jugak personal broadband, tapi tak best macam guna wifi sebab ada limit 6G je. Bila broadband pun dah approaching limit, I tukar pulak guna personal hotspot iPhone. Tu pun limit 2G je. Kesian kan nak guna internet pun kena bajet-bajet. Tak suka!

But now when the wifi connection is back to normal, I think I'm not the only happiest person on the earth as it brings smiles to everybody here. Terus semangat nak buat kerja kat rumah sebab sambil-sambil belajar pun boleh jadi busybody tengok update orang dekat facebook. kehkehkeh. :p

Happy Birthday Mother

Assalamualaikum,

Today is my mom's 52nd birthday! And she is indeed an exquisite blessing from the Almighty. So I talked to her last night, and she sounded extremely happy with her present life. Though I was not there to hug her and kiss her, Alhamdulillah I didn't forget to supplicate Allah swt this prayer for my mother,

One of the way for children to benefit their parents is through DUA'

I know no matter how hard I try, I can never repay what she has done to me. But at least I will keep trying and at the same time, I will plead Allah swt to repay all the supreme sacrifices for me. May He granted me with the reward of entering the Paradise through my mother.

If I want to list all the things what my mom really does for me, I'm afraid if the list will just fill in with tears. Little that I know, she does so much more of which I don't realize. However, one thing that I know, she worries and cares about me from the bottom of her heart, something that nobody else in the world does.

Ohh by the way, most people say I look a lot like my mother. What a fantastic compliment is that by all accounts? I'm proud, and I hope I will be like her one day. A mother, a wife, a daughter, an employer, a superior, and all other tough rensposibilities she's holding, she does everything with love.

My awesome weekend getaway at Brigadoon

Hi everybody?

Our weekend is getting over soon and I hope you have a good one. As for me, I had a very great experience joining all other Australian making our way to one of the largest Pipe Band parade in Bundanoon yesterday. Ohh by the way, sehari dalam setahun, Bundanoon akan bertukar nama jadi Brigadoon. So I think I should call the place Brigadoon instead.

Fyi, Kak Fish's husband is the player of one of the bands. So Kak Fish invited me and Fatin to also join the crowd. At first, I tak boleh nak bayangkan pun macam mana rupa parade tu. But after a while, I found out that it was kind of exciting. Sangat best tau! Something yang tak boleh dapat dekat Malaysia rasanya.

The parade began at 9.30am. There were hundreds of pipes and drums, colourful floats, marchers, beautifully dressed Scottish dancers and there were also more than 100 stalls serving foods, sourvenirs, clothes, arts & crafts many more. Dari pagi sampai ke petang kitorang busy wandering around the ovals sambil tengok parade dengan macam-macam persembahan.

Selama ni I tak boleh nak bayang macam mana kalau lelaki pakai skirt. Hmmm. Ish, takmo la bayang. hahaha. Tapi kat sini, pertama kali seumur hidup I rasa semua yang pakai skirt (kilt to be exact) nampak kacak gila. Seriously! Semua ahli band pakai macam-macam warna yang melambangkan clan yang berbeza. Meriah sangat!

Yang paling best, dua-dua orang anak Kak Fish, Adam dengan Aydin pun pakai full suit jugak. Comel gilaaa!! Bayangkan 2-2 hero tu jalan terkedek-kedek pakai skirt dengan bontot tonggek sebab pakai  pampers. hahaha. Super cute! Memang jadi attraction la bila bawak budak berdua ni jalan-jalan.

Wishlist # 2 : Sunset dinner by the beach

Here it comes again. Bila banyak kerja nak kena buat, banyak pulak ruang-ruang dalam otak ni sebok nak fikir benda yang mengarut-ngarut. Geram tau tak! But hey, a little bit of imagination is never a waste, agree? :)

This time I teringin nak pergi sunset dinner. kehkehkeh. Amacam? Mau join ka? Tapi takmau la dinner atas tower ke, atas cruise atau yang seangkatan dengan dia. Tu semua dinner mewah yang sangat typical. Mau beratus-ratus habis sekali makan. Membazir. No good! Tapi kalau orang sponsor of course mau! haha. :p

Sebenarnya apa yang I imagine ni more to sunset picnic lah rasanya. How? Cuma pack barang-barang dalam picnic basket, termasuk la dinner yang simple-simple, lengkap dengan deserts and beverages, then pegi tepi pantai or tepi tasik yang mengadap matahari terbenam, bentang kain alas, then have your dinner while enjoying the fading light. Isn't that sounds romantic? hihi.

Assalamualaikum semua,

Siapa suka dengar lagu With You from Chris Brown? It has always been my all time favourite song since I was younger. Teringat lagi dulu masa mula-mula beli kereta, compile lagu-lagu favourite letak dalam CD, and tiap-tiap kali naik kereta mesti dengar ulang-ulang. Tanpa jemu. Termasuk la lagu With You ni.

But then, as I stumbled upon another version of With You in one of my friend's FB update, I think I fall for this song all over again. Raef - With You (Chris Brown Cover). The lyrics, the song, the voice, and the performance, they are all amazing. Have a go, you will totally love it! =))

Three important events in a row

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Hari ni nak mengadu how the weather has been teribbly cold lately. Dah macam mid winter dah pun padahal baru je Autumn. I don't really like it when I have to wear thick clothes and put my wool socks and sneakers on. Summer dresses, sila lah masuk bawah katil, winter jackets are taking over your place on the racks from now on.

Ohh anyway, it was my parents' 29th anniversary yesterday. To add into the list, today is my younger sister, Fatin's 23rd birthday. And I also noticed that it has come to the third year since I first wrote in this virtual space yesterday. So triple celebration yeay!! =))

To mum and dad, I don't seem to have enough to say for all the joy and happiness throughout the years we have you as our parents. For all the thoughtful things you do, you both mean more each day to each and everyone of us. May the two hearts entwined forever in such a loving way.

How I spent my Easter holiday :)

Hai everyone! 

I'm still in my holiday mood up until now. Tak banyak study pun 2-3 hari ni. Guling-guling sambil baca journal, lepas setengah jam, sudahnya journal telangkup atas muka, dia yang baca aku. Grrrr!! ;O

Ni semua salah public holiday! Siapa suruh buat cuti masa mood belajar tengah tinggi. Now bila mood dalam keadaan free gear, tak bergerak ke mana-mana, mampus lah aku nak kena bertungkus-lumus masuk gear 1 balik sebelum pelan-pelan dapat sampai gear 5. Way to go girl!

Ohh you know what, I spent most of the time at home re-watching How I Met Your Mother. Apesal tiap-tiap kali tengok pun musti gelak punya huh? Addictive betol la series tu. huhu. 

So here is a little summary on what I did during the break.

Lepas balik Dapto, lepak dekat jetty somewhere around Berkeley sambil makan ice cream. Beautiful place it is. Very beautiful.

I'm usually not a big fan of any designer bag (to me they are always a wee bit too overrated). But this time, when I think the price is very much worth it, then I said to myself, why not? =)

So now I know Easter adalah satu masa yang sesuai untuk shopping other than Boxing Day. But I wonder if there will still be any Easter sale for me next year? Hmmm.

So that's all I could tell about my short break I guess. I pronounce my Easter break has now officially ended. Gotta go to bed early tonite and start my day the earliest possible tomorrow. Goodnight everybody!

Fixing my weight dilemma

Assalamualaikum wbt,

How's your Saturday everyone? Mine is not too bad I suppose. My day started as early as 7am this morning, I did this and that this and that, and here I am now, lying on the bed do nothing just like a queen. Huhh! Queen lah sangat. haha.

Anyway, I just got back from Kak Fish's house with a clearly visible full tummy! Seriously, damn full! Kalau lah perut ni boleh bercakap, rasanya mesti dia mintak ampun suruh I stop eating right there and save some space for tomorrow.

Mula dengan pizza sebagai breakfast, lepas tu pergi Little Amirah's Birthday Party (anak abang Din and Kak Su) I makan nasi beriyani kambing dan kuih muih and finally I had a big portion of ikan bakar cicah air asam dengan sotong goreng tepung for my dinner. ;O

Lepas tu!! The moment I stepped on the weighing scale when I got home just now, it freaked the hell out of me!! Oh no, I strictly need to reduce the heavy food amount for tomorrow and more work out need to be done. Sometime I thought I don't really care about this, but I actually do. Well girls~~, who doesn't rite?

Too bad I'm slightly overweight for this hammock.. :(

Impromptu visit to Sydney Tower

Assalamualaikum semua!

As what has been promised before, I'am back to tell stories about my impromptu visit to Sydney Tower last Saturday. When I said impromptu, it was really really unplanned. Tiba-tiba je petang tu Rem ajak pergi sana and lepas siap-siap, off we went to Sydney! Being me yang memang selalu teringin tapi tak pernah pergi sebab ingat mahal gila nak naik atas Sydney Tower tu of course la terus jadi excited! Nak-nak pulak bila dengar harga murah, lagi la bertambah-tambah seronok jadinya.hehe.

Okay let me share with you some basic infos that you probably need to know before you get there. For walk-in visitor, the ticket price is AUD25/person. Not too bad rite? But as we bought it online, the promotion price dropped down to AUD12.50/person. Murah gilaaa kan?? So lepas ni kalau ada siapa-siapa yang nak pergi melawat Sydney Tower, make sure beli tiket online supaya dapat harga promotion tu okay!

Tapi!! Kalau dah nama pun pergi Sydney, masalah parking la yang paling utama. Ada tu ada, tapi harga dia mak aihh mahal yang amat. So kalau pergi ramai-ramai boleh la share harga parking kan? Malam tu kitorang parked dekat Secure Parking yang paling dekat dengan Sydney Tower dengan harga AUD15 untuk masa tidak sampai 2jam. Ok lah jugak tu daripada tak ada langsung.huhu. Tapi kalau nak mudah, naik aje public transport. Senang cerita! =))

Bila sampai je situ, kitorang terus naik ke bahagian Sydney Tower Eye untuk dapatkan pass masuk. Rupa-rupanya tiket tu termasuk dengan 4D Cinema Experience. It is a 4-dimension footage hall that transports you across Sydney Harbour, their famous coastlines, and iconic landmarks of the city. It was only a short show, but for me, it is really one of a kind. I bet you will enjoy it as much as I do!

After the 4D Cinema, we moved on to the observation deck where the ultimate experience begins. Masa kitorang sampai tu Sydney city sedang bergelap gelita selama 1 jam sebab Earth Hour. But still, pemandangan sangat-sangat cantik dekat atas tu. Disebabkan cahaya yang kurang, kitorang dok saling meneka dekat mana Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Darling Harbour, Queen Victoria Buliding and so on. Entah ke mana-mana perginya sebab gelap gelita. hahaha.

But after one hour, when all the lights were back on, barulah nampak kota Sydney yang cantik dilimpahi cahaya. Very beautiful, and the feeling was just very, hmm, sensational. Very romantic I tell you. haha. Jiwang pulok! When you were up there and looked down to all the places you have been to before, it reminisces your good old days. And somehow I miss that time so much. :)

Disebabkan tak bawak camera, and hanya mengharapkan handphone cabuk saja, maka gambar-gambar tak seindah apa yang nampak di depan mata. Jadiknya, silalah pergi melawat sendiri untuk effect yang lebih dramatic ye. hehe. Till then, tata! =))

Hopefully everyone is doing great today. Hari ni mood sangat ceria, as bright as the weather at the outside. We are experiencing a very beautiful Monday here in Wollongong walaupun I masih dok pening-pening lalat meng'adjust' masa akibat Daylight Saving yang baru je berakhir 2 hari lepas.huhu.

Malam tadi pukul 11pm I dah masuk tidur, then pukul 6 pagi dah terjaga sebab dah terang benderang kat luar. Lepas subuh konon nak golek-golek sambung tido tapi tak berjaya. Jadiknya bangun pung pang pung pang kat dapur prepare breakfast. Biasa makan cereal Milo dengan fresh milk je, tapi hari ni pagi-pagi dapur berasap. Perkara yang sangat jarang terjadi dalam hidup Amirah. hihi. :p

Lepas dah siap-siap semua, I keluar dengan Fatin pergi pulang kereta yang Fatin sewa, and then kitorang date dengan Kak Fish kejap dekat uni sebab nak rasa cubaan pertama Kak Fish buat macaroon. Nyam nyam! Selama ni kalau nampak macaroon warna-warni dekat kedai, tahan je nafsu tu. Seketul AUD3.00 tau! Sekali ngap pun boleh habis. So lepas ni boleh menuntut ilmu buat macaroon dengan kak Fish yeay!!

So now you got it what makes me happy today? Boleh buat kerja dengan gembiranya. Petang ada meeting dengan supervisa terchenta. Focus Amirah, focus! You have got no reason not too concentrate on your work today. Alrite, will come back soon to update about our visit to Sydney Tower last weekend. Tata. =)
