You're waiting for more reports from me, aren't u?? yea,yea, i'm trying to keep you updated from time to time remember.. Okay, I watched AVATAR two days ago!! yes, at Greater Union Wollongong.. It was a regret that I didn't watch that brilliant, luminous movie of the year at IMAX Sydney for the 3-D version. But all in all, the only thing that I can say here that the nearly 3-hour film keep my eyes glued to the screen, and I tried not to miss any single part of the plots and scenes.. Not any!! Care to know more about it?? Don't worry sweetie, I'll share this with u okay..

Alrite, where to begin now...ummm, what I love most about AVATAR is all about the visuals in this pieces was a revolutionary!! You do know James Camerons, don't u? The genius film maker in this whole world industry.. He did it with Terminator series and Titanic and again, he made it with AVATAR!! How can a normal person in this whole world could ever imagine on the things that are gonna happen more than 100years from now?? Me myself can't even think on something brilliant like that and all I can say is WOWW!! I'm not gonna tell you EVERYTHING here since it will take me hours to explain on how exciting it was.. Maybe u can find out more from this summary..

Then, I went back home at midnight and before my sleep time, i made a wish that I could wake up beside Jake Sully at the stunningly beautiful dreamland of Pandora as the heroine.. Well, everybody did that rite!! dreaming on the character as the heroine.. But Sam Worthington in AVATAR is sooo attractive!! Love him!!=))

Babysitting Baby Adam

Hye dear,

I started to miss Adam now eventho I only spent a couple of hours with him today.. Yeah, babysitting is no too bad after all.. I take it as a practice of a temporary caring for Adam on behalf of Kak Fish & Abg Azeem when they're not around.. I did it just for fun as I'm the one who volunteered to look after him if they need to go somewhere (without bringing him) .. Maybe becoz I really love to play with kids/babies I guess.. Well, as far as I'm concern, babysitting is commonly performed for extra money, stereotypically, but not necessarily, by girls/women.. but it is definitely not me.. I just want to spend some time with a 7-month sweet little creature like Adam..=))

Kak Fish sent him over at quarter before 5pm.. He started off very well-behave and didn't cry at all.. I could even left him play alone with his favorite colorful toys while I was praying and cooking. After a while, he gave me the sleepy sign by demanding me to pick him up all the time.. and I didn't even realize that he actually gotten asleep on my shoulder.. Yes, he slept on me!! What a lovely moment that time.. He woke up 1-hour after his peaceful nap and I fed him with the solid foods that have been prepared by Kak Fish.. We play, play and play again only until I realize that Kak Fish arrived to pick him up at 8pm.. Owh, look at how fast the time fly whenever we're doing something that we really love but still, I had to wave him good bye..

Friday blues..

Dear diary,

I know u're sick of listening to my unstoppable complaints about my work at the office.. But I don't care.. pretend that u didn't hear anything okay switheart.. U know tomorrow is Friday rite.. Other people would be dying to wait for Friday to come as it is the last working day on THAT particular week.. But of course the theory is not applicable for me.. Because I need to see my spv at 11am on Fridays!!! Owh, I'm so stressed now.. I wanna see him by bringing something that I can be proud of each week.. I'm very afraid if he ever think that my work/research is not progressing much.. Despite being nervous I know that I should relax and focus.. I always feel like I haven't done anything much and keep telling him the same thing all over again.. n he always said "Don't worry too much Amirah..U're doing alrite and u made a good progress each week..It is always hard at the beginning remember"..(in his super thick Aussie accent).. I'll feel better everytime I come out from his room, somehow I'll feel bad AGAIN, every Thurday..sighss... Okay, back to my assignment for this week.. Remember that I showed you one of the results that I've got last month?? Okay, I need to combine the codings with the other solution that I've got when I first arrived 5months ago.. I thought combining both codes will be as easy as ABC but I was totally wrong!! It took me nearly a month to solve them and yet, I don't think that what I've got now will satisfy the one that Tim wants.. we'll see what he's gonna say during or meeting tomorrow..nervous..nervous..huhu..

4th Graduation???

Hello Bestie!!

Will u believe me if I tell you that UOW has now turned into Hogwarts?? Yes, it really is..with all the graduands in blue robe wandered around the campus looking like they just graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.ehehe.. I do feel like I wanna be like them somehow.. bile nak graduate nie??? cepat la siap research... huuu... I can't wait any longer for my 4th convocation...which will probably be held in 2013..huhu..=))

Trust me switheart, you'll always love the moment when you walk confidently on the stage and being honoured as a graduand, with your parents witnessing the momentous event with prouds, and this is also the moment when you can say Goodbye to the student life and say Hello to the new chapter of a great zest of life..

Actually, I was invited by my friend,Wana for her Master's convocation yesterday.. This is the reason why suddenly I feel really excited to celebrate my 4th convocation.. my first convocation is when I graduated from high school, MRSM Beseri in 2002 (1st Nov 2002). Then, I was honoured as a degree holder from UTM Skudai in 18th Oct 2007 which make it as my 2nd convocation. The 3rd one is when I received my Master's Degree in March 2009, also from UTM Skudai.. and now, I'm waiting for the final session..the one that will make me become a Doctor of Phylosophy (PhD) holder.. InsyaAllah.. do pray for me okay sweetie..=)

You know that it is not my routine to check my official UOW webmail on weekends rite.. Coz I know nobody will be at the office to send all those "important" mails.. But I felt like to do so just now.. and the moment when I checked my inbox, I was very surprised to see 2 new emails from Tim (my spv).. They had to be something really important otherwise he won't contact me during weekends and that made me really anxious to check on them..Guess what are the contents?? Summer course during summer holiday..uwaaaa!!!

What makes thing become harder is, not only one course will be offered but two!!yes, two courses in January n February.. Becoz of the short notice, I decided to choose only one of them.. Hmmm, there are pros n conts for both of the courses..I'll make a proper list so that you can help me to figure out on which one is the best for me..thank you switheart!!=))

I'm soo confused now.. I'd love to join both of the courses but I know I cant.. What I can do now is, I need to go to the main office first thing in the morning tomorrow and make confirmation regarding the registration fees.. Then only I can decide.. hurmm...

Before you ask, yes, I have something interesting to tell you AGAIN..hehe.. This time I went to Mount Keira which lies 4 kilometres northwest of the Wollongong city..Actually, it is just behind my Uni but I only reached there after 5 months here.. Owh, I would like to highlight earlier that we went up there by car which was only 15mins ride compared to 1.5hours of hill climbing.. Yeah, u should expect something thrill and adventurous unless if u go up there by car..not even a drop of sweat needed..:p

It is 11.10pm now..and there is still no sign for me to sleep yet.. I keep thinking on something for the whole day today.. Perhaps i miss something..hmmm, many things literally..but I keep on thinking about my Blacky over and over again today..

How's his condition? Is the engine works as good as what I left just before I flew here? Is he shines handsomely as he always does? Did somebody send him to the workshop for his regular service on the correct time?? There are soo many things on my mind about him now.. Damn, I know that I miss him soo badly, terribly!!

Owh, I know you don't understand what the heck that I'm talking about now.. Who's Blacky? What does he means to me? Okay dearie, for your information i have him longgg before i have u in my life.. Sorry for not telling u earlier but there he is.. the love of my life.. You have to accept the fact that there's some'thing' else who is close (really2 close) to me apart from you.. But it doesn't mean that i don't love you okay sweetie.. You're the closest now as i feel like I always need to share with you EVERYTHING about me and my life here in the Land Down Under..

Another interesting weekend

Hello bestfriend!!

Sorry for deserting you away for about 4days sweetie..I had a real busy+full+exciting weekend til I dun have time to even sneak a quick look on u.. But it doesn't mean that u're thrown out of my life coz now I'm gonna share everything with u on the things that I've done for the last 2 days..This gonna be a longgg one.. Ready to hear everything now??? Good boy dearie..=))

Ok, let me start with Saturday.. Woke up around 8am and as usual, I did all the bibik's chores.. Went out to the fruit market, Aldi, Vina, Dom Phuong, and Warrawong to get some groceries.. Emm, not forgetting 2 new dresses..hehe.. Actually, I and laili decided to cook Bihun Soup and we invited our friends from Gundi to come and eat with us.. The Bihun Soup project turned out soooo well and we managed to cook 3kilos of beef and finished it up within 1 day..phewww!!now I have extra storage inside my freezer.. At night, we invited Rauf and Ilyas for dinner and we spent a few hours playing card while watching Titanic until midnight..That's how my Saturday ends..a very busy one..

Then, on Sunday morning, I woke up at 9am (coz I slept at 3am on Saturday nite) and ate the breakfast that have been prepared by Laili, nasik lemak before both of us decided to go to the beach..the weather was very fine and it was a perfect day to play with the water and lay on the golden sandy beach..just like what the tourist usually did..teeheee..We never knew that this could be a real great fun and made our mind up to do it again next time..weeehooo!!

We spent a few hours at the beach (smpai i rasa kulit dah tukar kaler jd udang bakar), then we went back home feeling tired, exhausted and of course lapar gilaaaa!! I slept right after having my lunch and I woke up two hours after that..fuhhh..penat main air la tu..

The night before Rauf n Ilyas told us that there's going to be Eid celebration with fireworks at the lighthouse on Sunday nite and we decided to go together.. i thought there'll be makan2 free there.. rupa2nya xde..really frustrating..hehehe..luckily the fireworks show was really amazing..okay,okay, dun be mad sweetie..I'll share with u the video taken during the show owkay..

That's how 2 days in my life have been filled with interesting things.. Got to get back on the track after this..focusing on my research so that I can have fun again in the next wekend..=))

Today I'm writing while proudly looking at my new, good-looking, gigantic, wide screen computer at my office.. Samsung SyncMaster 2333sw..It comes together with a new processor as well..these new gadgets will definitely make my simulations become faster.. I've tested it just now.. The previous computer took about 300seconds to solve my simple code but with this new operating machine, it took me only 50seconds to solve exactly the same problem..Woww!! What a huge different..Thank you to the support team for this new computer.. No more reasons like slow, noisy computer anymore after this..=)

How can I do something "interesting" like that while the others are busy with their heads-down concentrating on their research..owh, this is the real life of PhD student that I never imagine before.. How is it going for you? Miss me?? I know u did..hehe..=)) I didn't update anything for the past 5 days coz I don't have much to share these days.. I told you that I need to cook something for Hari Raya AidilAdha celebration rite..I did popia goreng and that was my very first attempt..It was simply delicious!!!trust me!!!bukan nak perasan..tp mmg sedap..i followed the recipe from the net and they turned out to be gorgeous and scrumptious popia goreng ever!!and of course with a slight of modern touch..ehehe..can't wait to go back to Malaysia and let my mum taste them..=))

There will be another occassion this coming Thursday, 3rd December 2009.. Me and my officemates decided to organize morning tea at our office and of course we have to bring something for the day.. The only thing in my mind rite now is chocolate brownies..simple yet delicious!!gotta go out and buy the ingredients from Woolworths tomorrow!!

Dear diary,

As I promised yesterday, I'm going to update you about the places that I went to during my weekend getaways on Saturday. After we had our lunch at town of Berry, we proceed our journey to Sydney..But we stopped at a few places along the way before we reach Sydney..

First, we stopped at Thirroul beach..before that we bought ourselves drinks from Gloria Jeans Coffee and enjoy the refreshments that have been prepared by Wana; cheesecake..yummie!!=)) We spent nearly one hour there enjoying the view of the coast..

Then we go to Bald Hill, Stanwell Park and watched people doing activities like hand-gliding and paragliding..If only I'm not afraid of height, I'll probably grab the chance to do activities like that to..

After that, we headed to Sydney and had our dinner at Malacca Straits Restaurant which is located at Broadway..I didn't eat much coz I was still full with the foods from our tea time..Then, we decided to go to Luna Park and spend sometimes playing there..

On our way back to Wollongong, we stopped at Rockdale 24hours McD and eat ice-cream eventhough all of us were shivering because of the cold wind.hehe..xpe,yg penting seronok!! That's the end of our journey..Hope to have a wonderful trip again next time..=))

Good Afternoon diary,

I just had my breakfast!!a piece of strawberry cheese cake and a glass of apple juice..yummie!!yeah,yeah..i know it's time for lunch..but i forgot to take my breakfast this morning as I was busy concentrating on bibik's chores.hehe..every Sunday is the day where I become bibik at my own house..=)) Well,I would like to share with you a very interesting thing today..If this is too long, I will consider continuing it til tomorrow..ehehe..

I spent my Saturday by exploring sooo many places and things yesterday..and it was a real exciting and exhilarating experience that I can keep in my memory..There were 5 people altogether in the trip; Fendy, Fathul, K.Mas, Wana, and myself of course.. :p We rented a car for 24hours which cost us $60..Fortunately, we were given chance to ride in Australian national car, Holden Commodore Cruze that made our journey became very comfortable and cosy..

We started our tour by visiting Kiama Blowhole, which is located roughly about 120km from Sydney.. This is the place where we can see the blowhole spray water in the air in quantities that thoroughly drench any bystanders. This happens under certain sea conditions..The word Kiama is derived from an aboriginal word, which means, "where the seas make noise"..If you want to know more about it, you can google for the information okay..=)) Just have a quick look to the pictures attached below so that you can see how beautiful is the place..

Then, we continue our journey to Nowra Wildlife Park, which is the largest native animal park on the NSW South Coast..Our main target is to see Kangaroo and Koala bear as they are the trademark of Australia. And we were very lucky because we get there just in time before the Koala Show starts.. Just like visiting Zoo Taiping in Malaysia, I had fun playing with the animals inside there..

Hye dear!!!I'm soooo happy today... Finally I manage to come out with the solutions like what my beloved spv wants..I've been struggling doing this assignment over and over again for the past few weeks.. and I thought that it will take me forever to come out with that solution..Alhamdulillah today I made it..Now I believe what Kak Ean told me before, if you are in a great difficulties that no one can help, just tell Allah swt..He'll definitely listen to you and help you in any possible way..Thanks Allah..

Can't you see the similiraties between the above graphs??u better say yess!!!if not I'm going to bite u!!teeheee..gila kejam..no lah..i know both graphs look slightly different..but what's crucial here is the characteristic of the graphs..He used Fortran to get his solution..but I used different type of programming..but dun worry, I'm not going to discuss much about it as I know u'll end up sleeping right in front of me.hehehe..

Hye sweetie!!wake up..wake up!!I left you at rest only for one day, u curik2 tido eh..I don't care,u got to listen to my ramblings today..hehe..Act, I've a good news to tell you...Ha, getting excited rite???I'm not getting married yet lah!!Jgn teka yg bukan2 plz..okay,let me tell you but promise not to roll on the floor laughing okay..be good,promise??

I'VE GOT MY FLIGHT TICKET FOR HARI RAYA NEXT YEAR!!! yup,next year,2010!!!kakakakaka..me myself can't stop laughing until now..We haven't even celebrate our Hari Raya Haji for 2009 but I start talking about my next Hari Raya Aidil Fitri trip already..What can I do...Having the experience celebrating the most joyous occasion in our culture abroad this year made me feels like I don't wanna have it ever again..Once is good enough..huhu..

My flight will be on 5th September 2010 from Melbourne..And I'll probably have 5 fasting days in Malaysia and chances to eat all the foods from bazar ramadhan that I was craving for this year..Really can't wait to go back!!Owh, actually I'm going back in Feb 2010 for a short (but not really short) holiday too..but next Hari Raya trip keeps myself more excited.. Watever it is, as long as it is related to back-to-Malaysia trip, I'm getting all excited..=)) But dun worry sweetie boy, I'm not going to leave you okayy..You're my breathing space remember???hehehe..so,let's start counting the days together..yeehaaa!!

Programming oh programming..

Dear diary,

I met my supervisor just now...yes,today,Monday,16/11/2009 at 11am..Don't be surprise diary boy..yeah,I know that our official appointment date is on Fridays at 11am..But today was upon request because last Friday kan I pegi shopping kat Sydney..so,kena cover balik la.teehee..:p

I need to show him my code and of course the result as well..uwaaaa!!when it comes to mathematical programming,I wish that I have Prof Dr Shaharuddin Salleh with me now.. He's my Sifu during my Undergraduate Project after all..Without him,I don't think I can reach this level and x mungkin terjebak dalam dunia programming nie..Then I met another Sifu who contributed a lot in my Master's Project, Assoc Prof Dr Ong Chee Tiong.. programming jugakkkk.. Then, I thought dah habisss,rupanya time PhD pun I've to learn from another Sifu in mathematical programming, Prof Dr Timothy Marchant..uwaaaa!!!Seems like I'm fated to live in the world of mathematical programs I guess..keep it up Amirah..do not give up okay..

Owh,back to my work..hmmm,care to look at my prog codes???I know you won't understand even a bit of it,but just have a quick look so that u have something in mind on what my life is all about rite now...The code is written in Maple progamming and this is sort of my latest result..

And you know what, this result still didn't satisfy my spv..He said that something goes wrong with the graph and I should keep playing around with the codes until I got the perfect one..the range of y in my current graph is too large and it can goes up until infinity whereas the value that I should get is 0..uwaaaa!!I'm sick of this..but I have to keep doing this..Go Amirah go!!!cheer for me okayyy!!=))

p/s: He promised to give me his codes which was written in Fortran (programming zaman Jepun..hehehe)..then I need to compare mine with his..and try to make it looks like his..yippieeee!!!baiknya supervisor sayeee..tu pun after one month I'm struggling with this programming thingy..nvm,better than nothing!!=))
