A mother's unconditional love

Assalamualaikum semua,

Semalam I dengan husband balik berbuka dekat rumah my parents. Saje je sebab last bukak puasa sama-sama masa first Ramadhan je pastu dah pegi KL and balik Melaka. So semalam lepas Am balik keje kitorang balik la rumah mak untuk berbuka sama-sama.

Earlier that day, I talked to my mum via telephone saja borak-borak about random stuffs and bagitau nak balik berbuka dekat rumah petang tu. Pastu I ada ajak mak buat kek macam dulu-dulu untuk raya kali ni. We used to enjoy baking when I was a little younger. Our favourites are fruit cake, chocolate cake, banana cake and not forgotten, classic cheese cake. :)

Biasanya malam raya la baru bakar kek-kek tu semua. And then bila dah start bau vanilla semerbak je dalam rumah, masing-masing dok tunggu je oven mak bunyi "tingg!!!" tanda kek dah ready, apa lagi jom kita serbuuuu!! Dalam sekelip mata, kek tinggal separuh sebab lagi separuh yang panas-panas and lazat tu dah selamat masuk dalam perut kitorang especially part yang garing kat tepi-tepi tu. Nyummsss!!

That was memory. We haven't been doing that for quite a while. Maybe I rasa camtu sebab I dah lama tak sambut raya kat rumah kot. Tapi seingat-ingatnya memang dah jarang buat kek untuk raya dah sekarang ni. And yesterday I told mum, "Let's do that again this year!!". I miss my mom's cake like very seriously. :)

Our conversation on the phone ended just like that. I pun sambung buat kerja, tunggu husband balik, and terus siap-siap nak pergi rumah mak. I bawak kuey teow dengan bahan-bahan cendol yang my parents in law kirim untuk bagi dekat my parents. Mak bagitau yang kuey teow tu nak buat Char Hor Fun.

So, sampai je rumah mak I tengok mak tengah kat dapur tengah prepare bahan untuk masak Char Hor Fun. Pastu ada bau pisang and vanilla essence pulak! Omg, I smelled banana cake. So, I excitedly looked around the kitchen to find a real mom's banana cake in the oven! I just told mom that I want to eat her homemade cake about a couple of hours ago, and when I went back home, Tadaaa!! The cake is already there!! :)

Mak cakap kebetulan semua bahan lengkap, so that made her job easier. And that little girl in me was beyond excited! As expected, baru je keluar oven, half of the cake went gone just like that. hahaha. Sedap okehh makan kek panas-panas masa berbuka. I siap tapau satu bekas bole buat kunyah-kunyah sambil tengok tv. hehehe. :D

Now Amirah is like a happy little girl!

Her cake craving has been satisfied. :) 

My two amazing mothers

Assalamualaikum semua,

Are you guys still in the Mother's Day mood? 

Well for me, every day is mother's day though.

But this year is a little more meaningful as I have two amazing mothers for me to lean on.

My own biological mother who gave birth to me.

&

My mother in law who delivered my husband to this world.

Without both of these incredible women I know, there is no such thing like Amri & Amirah in the history.

To my mom:

Thank you for everything.

You're always there for me in my hi and low situation.

Telling me something insightful whenever I'm confused about making decision.

Well, words can never describe how I'm glad to have a mother like you.

If I have chance to be a mother one day, I really want my children to look at me the way I look at you.

To my mother-in-law:

Thank you for giving me the chance to marry your son.

You raised him so well that he turns into somebody that I could rely on for all my life.

I'm blessed to have your son, I'm doubly blessed to have you at the same time.

Out of all, I just want to thank Allah SWT for these two extraordinary women that exist in my life.

I couldn't ask for anything better, as they are already the best.

Borang Kebenaran Berkahwin

Assalamualaikum,

Salam hari Jumaat semua. Sekejap je dah masuk hari ke-4 tahun 2013 kan? And trust me, this year will pass by in a blink of an eye, just like the previous years. So let's make full use of every moment we have in this year okay? :)

I baru lepas scan Borang Kebenaran Berkahwin (bagi pihak lelaki) and email it to my fiance. Sebenarnya dah banyak hari I janji nak kasi, tapi asyik lupaaa je. Hari-hari dia tanya baik-baik, "Dah siap ke belom isi borang?". I pulak hari-hari terlupa nak scan padahal dah siap isi lama dah.

Tapi pagi tadi masa message, macam biasa I tanya la "Nak kawen dengan saya tak?". Pastu dia jawab, "Nak, tapi awak tak bagi lagi borang cane nak kawen". Tersentap I you know. Terus haku kelam kabut pegi ofis scan borang, dan-dan tu jugak hantar email sebab takut tak boleh kawen punya pasal. hihihi. :p

Haa kau, dah kena sound macam tu baru nak terhegeh-hegeh nak buat. Biasala manusia, kalau tak kena pressure selalu la ambik ringan benda-benda macam ni. Padahal bukan kerja susah pun tapi nakk jugak tangguh-tangguh. My bad. Haihh.

Macam tu la kisahnya bila menguruskan hal perkahwinan bila sorang kat Australia, sorang kat Austria. Benda yang cepat jadi lambat lah sikit. hehe. But we are lucky because we have our parents at home to manage everything about the wedding ceremonies. We can never thank them enough though.

I personally think that mothers are by far the loveliest person ever created by Allah SWT. Like my mum, she has taken care of almost EVERYTHING for me. My wedding, my house, my money, my car, or you just name it, SEMUA pun mak yang tolong uruskan. I wish to be like her one day. I really do.
