Buku kira-kira saya

When I was recording my daily expenses in my note book just now, I suddenly came up with the idea of sharing this with you. For those who are close to me might have known how my everyday expenses will be recorded in my little 'buku belanjawan tahunan'. And I'll try not to miss any single cent in there.

Buku belanjawan 2011

I started doing all the recordings since I was in primary school. Masa tu rekod cara budak-budak la. Mak akan bagi duit poket sebulan sekali. Kalau tak salah RM45/sebulan ~ RM10/seminggu ~ RM2/sehari. Itulah duit tambang bas, itulah duit makan, itulah duit pegi mengaji, itulah duit nak beli jajan. Pendek kata, itulah segala-galanya.

Jadi, pandai-pandailah kau buat bajet sendiri supaya hujung bulan tak payah buat muka kesian mintak duit extra dekat mak. Ohh, kenangan~~

Kesukaan semua kanak-kanak [photo courtesy]

Masuk sekolah menengah pulak, Mak bagi duit belanja seminggu sekali. Up sikit masa tu. RM15/seminggu ~ RM3/sehari. Sama macam dulu. Itulah segala-galanya. Tambang bas pergi dan balik, duit makan pagi, duit makan tengahari, duit aktiviti petang, duit nak beli getah rambut, duit nak beli Cornetto etc. Pandai-pandailah adjust sendiri.

Tapi masa tu I pengumpul setia novel Sweet Valley Senior Year. Ohh, collection setiap bulan hanya RM8, balance lagi RM3.90 tu I akan buat muka kesian dekat bapak suruh belanja. Mengelat!:p

I have the same collection as above (SVH Senior Year 1-43) [photo courtesy]

Bila masuk UTM, I dah ada duit belanja sendiri, memang kurang sangatlah mintak duit dekat mak. Yahuuuu!! Masa dekat UTM ni la yang I mula buat buku belanjawan secara komprehensif. Takkan tinggal sesen pun. Sungguh tabah merekod!

Masa tu bajet adalah RM50/seminggu. Itupun dah lebih dari cukup. Siap boleh pergi makan dekat KFC atau McD dengan kawan-kawan masa hujung minggu dekat JJ Taman U. Zaman di UTM pulak I kumpul novel dari siri Little Black Dress. Harga novel tu RM19.90 dan I takkan miss satu buku pun setiap bulan.

Salah satu favorite dalam koleksi [photo courtesy]

Sekarang, I ada 2 jenis buku belanjawan. Ohh~~

Perbelanjaan di Malaysia

Lagi satu buku pulak untuk record semua perbelanjaan I dekat sini. My daily expenses. Lebih kurang AUD100/seminggu. Dalam tu lah segala-galanya. Groceries, mangkuk tingkat, lepak-lepak, coffee, beli fries, topup, beli solution contact lense, beli baju Cotton On. Eh,tetiba masuk shopping sekali. hehe. Tapi itulah hakikatnya.

Rekod perbelanjaan harian di sini

Mungkin ada setengah orang akan anggap I ni jenis calculative orangnya. Maybe I am. Tapi I bukan lah jenis yang kedekut untuk berbelanja. I will grab anyting I like, but everything must be recorded.

A story about a teacher with her brilliant students

When I was browsing through some of my notes just now, I suddenly came up with the thought on this matter. Okay, let me explain with the following situation:-

The fourth-graders were having a lesson in arithmetic, and their teacher, Miss A, greeted her students with a very simple question.

"If a man can walk three miles in one hour, how many miles can he walk in four hours?"

So, one of the brightest student of hers, Student B, quickly raised his hand and gave his answer, "12 miles teacher!!"

When Miss A started to smile realizing how lucky she is having Student B in her class, another pupil, Student C popped up his hand.

"Teacher, he might be quite right, but for me, it would depend on how tired he got after the first hour," he answered.

The other pupils burst into laughters. Then Miss A rapped for order.

"I never looked at the problem that way before. I always supposed that man could walk twelve miles in four hours, but Student C might be right. That man may not feel so spunky after the first hour. He may drag his feet. He may slow up."

Right upon her comment, Student D raised his hand. "I think there might be cases where a man tried to walk twelve miles, and he died of heart failure," Student D said.

"Oh my Goodness!!" said the teacher. "I suppose that could happen too."

"Anything could happen in four hours, teacher," said Student C. "We never knew what will happen to us during the few hours ahead. "

"It would indeed," agreed the teacher. "Well children, I think we have learned a great deal about arithmetic today, thanks everybody for your ideas. But remember, in exam, this question still requires 12 miles as the answer." The class ended with all other pupils roared.

Hmm, when I think deeply about this, mathematically speaking, yes, the answer is 12 miles. But in real life situation, it might not be quite right.

We might want something to come out as what it is SUPPOSE to be, but we never knew what is actually waiting for us in future. There might be something comes up that will slow us down, or for the worst case, something that will stop us from doing that forever. Think~ think~

Dilema gadis bermata sepet

So today I went to my aerobic class again. It was a 1-hour non-stop-penat-nak-mampus aerobic components. Okay, that's not the point. I want to tell you about other thing. When I was in the changing room, right after my shower, I frust gila tengok tempat hair-dryer yang masih kosong. Kene service kalau tak salah.

Hmm, masalah ni. How can I put on my scarf with my wet hair. So I decided to wait for a while and dried my hair MANUALLY. You know, kibas-kibas dengan tangan laju-laju ke kiri ke kanan ke depan ke belakang dengan harapan rambut cepat kering. Kesian kan.

After a while, I saw these two girls from my BodyBurn class. Rasanya awek-awek Korea atau Jepun ni sebab muka comel nak mati. Diorang pun tengah bersiap-siap. I senyum je la sambil borak-borak kosong. TIBA-TIBA, salah sorang bawak keluar hair-dryer. Weeeeee~~~ Ada chance nak mintak pinjam..=))

Lepas diorang dah siap guna hair-dryer hak milik persendirian tu, I pun dengan muka kesiannya pegi la tumpang tanya boleh tak nak pinjam kejap. So I approached one of them, "Hi, excuse me. Do you mind if I borrow your hair-dryer for a little while. I really really need to get my hair dried before I can put my scarf on". Then she said yes. Yahuuuu!!

Lepas dah keringkan rambut sikit-sikit, I pulangkan dekat tuan punya yang comel lote tu, I pun siap-siap la nak pakai tudung. Awek dua orang ni dok ada lagi sambil dok tengok-tengok. Aduhhh, apesal diorang tengok-tengok ni. Aku rosakkan hair-dryer ke? Mati la kalo rosak. Tak dapek den nak ganti hair-dryer kaler bright pink macam tu.

I pun terus je la pakai tudung. Then diorang datang dekat and tanya I kenapa I pakai tudung. I bagitau la I'm a Muslim, and I need to get my hair covered. Tiba-tiba dua-dua tu terus cakap, "Oooooooooo" panjang gila. I tanya la kenapa. One of them said, "I thought you are a Chinese girl. You really look like our Chinese friend. I thought Muslim people only look like the ones from Arabic countries."

Dah sudah. Harap muka je comel. Tapi general knowledge kurang. Ha, kan semua rupa macam I kat situ. Haiyaaaa..

Btw, this is not the first time I was mistakenly approached as a Chinese. Masa kecik-kecik dulu sedih la kalau orang cakap muka macam Cina. Tapi bila dah banyak kali sangat, tak heran dah. hahaha. Mata sepet pun sepet la ye. Bila senyum terus tak nampak mata. hahahaha. Amoi.. amoi.. Nasib kau la ye..

Dua beradik yang bermata sepet. Kalau masuk Burhan, jadi tiga.

Contoh senyum tak nampak mata. Patut la orang konfius Melayu ke Cina. Haha. Lawak~~

When Amirah met ladybirds

Assalamualaikum,

How's life treating you today? Mine is pretty monotonous. Nothing much exciting I could say. Hmm, because of the weather perhaps? Dah berapa hari matahari asyik menyorok belakang awan je. Malu-malu pulak dia nak keluar. Langsung tak ceria hidup I. Haihh.

Hey Amirah, could you please stop blaming the weather for not being so nice to you? Masa panas komplen, now dah sejuk pun lagi nak banyak bunyik. Bersyukurlah deyy.. Apparaaa..

Baiklah, saya tak komplen lagi.. T__T

Hari ni I bergayut dengan mak lama gila. Satu jam suku. And it costed me about AUD165.40. Uii, banyak tu! Takpe, I baru guna separuh dari total AUD650 tu. Tinggal lagi 10hari nak habiskan call credit lagi AUD350. Esok lusa boleh call mak lama-lama lagi. Syoknyaaaa!!

Biasanya, asal tension buat kerja je I akan turun pi duduk bawah pokok mana-mana. Then tepon mak. Bukan mengadu pasal kerja pun. Dengar je mak cerita pasal apa-apa kat rumah, I will feel better. Lepas cakap dengan mak, naik atas sambung buat kerja balik macam takde pape masalah. See how a mother's words can easily ease your fretful feelings. Magic kan? =))

Once upon a time on a very sunny day. And this young lady went crazy seeing these colourful ladybirds on the grass.

Bibik ohh bibik

Hello sweetie pie,

The weather has been a bit dull today making my mood couldn't be any more brighter. Bangun pagi-pagi terus jadi bibik. Serius sakit gila sekarang. Aduhhh..

Owh, cakap pasal jadi bibik. I forgot to tell you that I started working since yesterday. Erk? Kerja? Yes, I'm not kidding you darling. I kerja jadi part time bibik dekat rumah Susan sekali seminggu. Memandangkan Kak Azean balik Malaysia, so, I la yang ganti tempat dia buat sementara waktu. Nanti bila Kak Azean balik, I tak kerja dah la. Come, let me tell you about my work.

Pukul 10am Susan datang ambik dekat rumah. Dalam pukul 10.30 macam tu I mula kemas dapur. Lepas tu I vacuum satu rumah. Lepas vacuum, terus mop lantai pulak. Sementara nak tunggu lantai kering, I cuci toilet. Kadang-kadang kena tukar bedsheet, tapi minggu ni Susan cakap tak payah. Dalam pukul 1pm semua kerja dah siap. Susan hantar I balik. See how simple is that?

Kenapa nak kerja? Tak cukup duit ke? No! Not at all. I did this for fun. Really! Spending 2-3hours doing housechores like these really gave me good experiences. And enhancing my cleaning skills at the same time. And of course good pay. Teehee..:p

Owh, nanti dah tua-tua boleh la cerita dekat cucu, "Dulu masa nenek buat PhD dekat Ostolia dulu, nenek penah kerja jadi cleaner. Untung atuk awak dapat cleaner special trained dari Ostolia". kahkahkah. Gila berangan siap ade cucu. Okay tipu. Stop it!

Hmm, jaga budak sudah. Tukang cuci pun sudah. What's next? Gardener perhaps? =))

Sekarang nak berangan jadi tukang kebun bunga tulip..=))

My Dream Wedding

Dear diary,

Last night I had a conversation with Mr Bf on when does the right time for us to tie the knot. We don't normally have this discussion in serious before this, really. I mean, there's no specific plan on when, where, how and all other sort of things, as we might just want to go with the flow. But then, last night was different.

We talked about quite a number of things. But two were thoroughly discussed according to our subject of preferences. Possible dates and budgets. Then I realize that this is not a plain conversation we are talking about. This is about marriage. And it demands deep and huge amount of efforts to make it happen. I think I'm not gonna say anything in details over here. Let it just be between me and him and of course The Almighty. We can only plan. Allah SWT will do the rest.

Our Prophet Muhammad SAW considered simple weddings as the best weddings. And the best wedding is that upon which the least trouble and expense is bestowed. When I look about this in depth, marriage in Islam is considered as ibadah and the marriage ceremony itself is considered as a social as well as religious activity. And I would also love to highlight here that Islam advocates simplicity in ceremonies and celebrations. So, these are all the things that you basically need for a marriage:

Primary Requirements
  1. Mutual agreement (Ijab Kabul) by the bride and the groom
  2. Two adult and sane witnesses
  3. Mahr (marriage-gift) to be paid by the groom to the bride
Secondary Requirements
  1. Legal guardian (wali) representing the bride
  2. Written marriage contract
  3. Qadi (a responsible person officiating the marriage ceremony)
  4. Khutba-tun-Nikah to solemnize the marriage

Then, when everything above is ideally done, the marriage banquet (walimah) will follow. The relatives, neighbours, and friends are invited to make them aware of the marriage. Both rich and poor of the family and community are invited to the marriage feast. That's all for a complete wedding.

Hmm, how simple is that right? So, I PERSONALLY hope that my wedding would be as simple as this. Tak perlu bermegah-megah dengan majlis yang besar-besaran. No, no such thing like that. Saya mengharapkan majlis yang ringkas, tapi biarlah sempurna. InsyaAllah.

Baju kelawar pun cantik kan?

Hari ni masuk hari ke 5 yang panas gila taktau nak explain macam mana lagi dah. Tiap tiap hari I kena fikir nak pakai baju apa yang paling selesa dalam cuaca macam ni. I really need to wear something loose and comfy. Rasa macam nak pakai baju kelawar je pegi mana-mana. Berangin je. hahaha. But too bad I dont have any here. I really really need one now.huhu..

Style jugak pakai baju kelawar macam ni kan. Yang penting berangin. [photo courtesy]

Lepas tu teringat pulak baju Kedah yang nenek-nenek suka pakai tu. The material is 100% cotton and it is made very loose with cute and sweet flower prints pattern. Pakai pulak dengan kain batik. Perghhh, lagi berangin. Tapi I pulak yang tak berapa reti nak pakai kain batik. Boleh tu boleh. Cuma paling lama boleh tahan dalam 10menet. Tu pun dah control jalan ayu gila taknak bagi tertanggal.hahaha. After 10minutes, that's it! Sila pergi tukar uniform cepat! Respect gila dekat mak-mak yang pakai kain batik sambil buat kerja rumah laju-laju tanpa perlu risau kain batik tertanggal dan tertinggal kat mana-mana.hahaha..:p

Dekat rumah tok ada banyak.hehe.. [photo courtesy]

Then I finally made up my mind to wear my baju kurung which was long stored underneath my bed. Hmm, not too bad. Baju kurung sangat la selesa dipakai. But then I wish I have more baju kurung which is made from 100% cotton with all the cute flower prints. Can I? No? Okay, enough! Then the weather is gonna be back to normal. Hopefully..

Hmm, bila fikir balik, in the end, baju tradisional macam ni jugak yang jadi pilihan I dalam cuaca yang panas menggila macam sekarang ni. Best gila kalau dapat pakai baju kelawar, baju kedah, baju kurung yang corak comel-comel tu. Tapi jangan la pakai baju kelawar lepas tu tepek bedak sejuk penuh muka lepas tu keluar sapu sampah depan rumah. Ohh, yang tu sungguh tak comel. Jangan buat okay!=))

Exercise? Perlu ke?

Happy first February dear diary!

Pagi tadi masa pack my gym outfits, tiba-tiba terfikir why am I doing this? I mean, kenapa nak kena excercise? But then, I realize that excercising is one of the ways to make me feel good. Feeling good here means not only for now but hopefully for the future as well.

Btw, appearance in public is somehow quite important am I right? Sebab tu la kita mandi tiap tiap hari (apesal omputih tak mandi pagi pun still nampak macam superstar huh?), then pilih baju apa nak pakai, lepas tu check gigi kot kot ada terlekat cili makan nasik lemak pagi tadi. Ngeri tau kalau baru lepas borak dengan orang, tiba-tiba bila pegi toilet tengok ada cili baik punya landing kat gigi.kahkahkah. Damn you cili!! Spoiling my whole day mood. Euww, macam gegirl la you ni Amirah. Cili pun nak kecoh. Apa daaa! But hey, that's the truth kan? kan?

I'm worry that we have gotten so obsessed with how we look that we no longer care about how we feel. Now think about how your body feels after a workout. Your muscles are warm and flexible, the blood is pumping through your body, providing oxygen and energy. You feel energized, confident, proud of yourself and ready to face the world. Woahhh! Cakap nak hebat je. Tapi tu la hakikatnye perasaan lepas bersukan. Remember that our bodies are made to move, not to sit around all day aka menambah ketebalan lapisan lemak.

Bukan susah pun, buat je cardio workout 20minit sehari. Kiri kanan kau nampak orang dok pulun excercise je, so akan terus bersemangat. But honestly, I pegi maximum 3kali je seminggu. The rest I prefer to do it at home according to my own sweet time.

Sebenarnya kalau terlampau stress dekat office pun I suka pergi excercise. Kadang-kadang rasa sakit urat, sakit sendi, sakit belakang, padahal bukan kerja angkut batu bata pon. Tapi bila duduk diam mengadap komputer terlampau lama, memang terasa darah panas tu rasa naik sampai ke tengkuk. Kalau dah rasa terlampau stress sampai camtu, I will simply get change, sumbat ear phone kat telinga dengar lagu, then terus menapak ke gym. Owh, speaking of which, it's time to get sweat now. Tata!

My messy workspace. Tempat mengundang segala stress.

Happy Birthday Abang!

Selamat pagi!!

Okay, hari ni memang pecah rekod bangun awal gila. I think I did not sleep only until 3am last night. I tossed and turned, tossed and turned, but in the end, I ended up looking at the brown teddy on my right, or staring at the white wall on my left. Lepas tu bangun pukul 6am solat Subuh, terus tak boleh nak tido balik dah sampai sekarang. Arghhh..

Fikir punya fikir, rupa rupanya penyakit tu datang balik. Haaa?? Penyakit?? Sounds bad kan?? Haha. Don't worry, home-sickness won't give any physical harm. But it mentally does. My father's signature dishes. Kesukaan semua.

Anyway, today is my big brother's 27th birthday. So, hari ni abang organize majlis kesyukuran sempena masuk rumah baru dan kebetulan ulang tahun kelahiran sekali. Kira double celebration lah kan. The thing is, untuk majlis makan tengahari ni, abang import chef nun jauh dari utara. Bapak lah, sapa lagi. Menu pulak, seperti yang I tulis kat atas tadi. Urghh, sungguh tak aci tau!

Patut lah I tak boleh tidoq malam tadi. Lazat sungguh! Hey, stop imagining Amirah!! Meleleh ayaq liuq dah ni tau dak. Semua orang sila lah makan puas-puas okeh. Jangan sampai I kidnap mak dengan bapak datang duduk sini 3 bulan baru tau. Muahahaha.

Okay lah, sekarang ucapan to my abang:

Adik doakan semoga abang akan terus dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki. You are not just getting older, but wiser to be exact. Hope you will have more strength to share, more lessons to teach, more experiences to learn from, more good times to cherish and more love to spread. I wish you to have a great time not only to yourself, but also with your near and dear ones.

"So, happy birthday and happiness always, dear brother!!"

My brother is a little piece of childhood experience that can't ever be lost.

The day he turns 26

Dear diary,

Today marks Encik Faizal Amri's 26th birthday. Eh, rasa macam baru je sambut birthday I yang ke 25 hari tu, hari ni Mr Bf pulak dah tambah lagi satu angka. How time flies. Bercinta jarak jauh ni memang agak mencabar dari segala segi. But Alhamdulillah, we went through everything without so many difficulties. Thank you Allah for everything. He knows more than all of us.

If you ask me what are the reasons for me to love him, I say nothing. I'm very certain that I fall for him for no reason. Really.

So sayang, if you want to know the MAIN reason, I think I could only say this:

WHY???

With this, I would like to wish you

So darling, here's my heart. Please take care..=))

From me, with lots of love,

amrimira

Ketawa penawar hati panas

Assalamualaikum,

Pagi tadi I keluar rumah dalam pukul 10.45am. Biasalah lepas dah makan kenyang kenyang baru I gerak pegi office. Plan nak catch bas pukul 10.55am. Lepas 10menet tunggu kat bawah matahari yang terik gila tu, bas pun datang. Yahuuu!! Hati pun berbunga-bunga seronok nampak bas. Dari jauh dah nampak, lady driver. Hmm, tak penah pulak I naik bas yang dia bawak sebelum ni.

Then bila bas dah betol betol benti depan I, okay lah, kasi chance orang turun dulu. Sistem kat sini memang tak boleh nak serbu naik ikut suka hati macam komuter kat KL tu je. Sesuka hati je orang serbu masuk depan muka kau. Kat sini kena berdiri kat tepi sampai semua orang dah habis turun baru lah kita boleh menapak naik. Jadi lah I penumpang yang berhemah kat negara orang ni.

Lepas semua orang dah turun, you know what happened?? The driver just shut the door right in front of my face and left me behind. I siap dah ketuk pintu tu pun dia buat bodoh je. Heyy!!!
That old lady bus driver really pissed me off!! Grrrr!!!

Lepas tu I dah fikir nak jalan kaki, tapi panas gila hari ni. Tak sanggup pulak nak menapak ke uni serah diri jadi dayang senandung. Kang sebab geram punya pasal segala pokok rumah orang sepanjang jalan I cabut. Haihhh. So, I decided to stay for the next bus to come. Ape lagi, I pun bukak la payung hikmat I yang warna PURPLE sambil tarik muka pat blas.

Tiba tiba datang satu mamat Aussie ni tunggu bas jugak. Budak budak awal 20-an lagi rasanya ni. Mat Salleh ni kan terlebih matang selalu nampak tua. Gaya taknak kalah. Surfer's built macam Ted Montgomery dalam Beverly Hills. Kira awek tengok comfirm cair lah konon. Me? No! Not my taste. Okay lah, lepas tunggu dalam 5menet, bas pun datang. Kasi chance la budak ni naik dulu, I naik kemudian.

Lepas jalan belakang dia baru I nampak dia bawak beg Thomas & Friends. Kahkahkahkah. Tau tak beg apa tu? Alaaaa, kartun kepala kereta api yang comel tu. Hadoii la. Dah la siap galas rapat ke badan macam budak budak darjah 1 first time pegi sekolah tu.hahahaha. Nak aje gelak kuat kuat dalam bas tu tapi takut menganggu keamanan pulak. Lantak kau la budak. Rasa macho agaknye bila bawak beg Thomas si kepala keretapi tu. hahahaha. *Sambung gelak lagi sepanjang jalan*

Boleh bayang tak lelaki macho macam ni.. [photo courtesy]

[photo courtesy]

Hmm, bila I fikir balik, mungkin ni cara Allah nak balance kan perasaan manusia. Kalau la takde budak pakai beg Thomas tadi tu mungkin seharian I akan memaki hamun makcik drebar yang tinggalkan I tu. Tak pasal pasal kumpul dosa free.huhu. Now you see how fair our life is right.

Rindu itu anugerah

Assalamualaikum,

It's a very sunny Sunday, and here I am, staring at my computer screen at this empty office, hoping for miracles to happen. Anyway, I dont want to talk much about works. Just keep doing it with what ever energy I have, someday things are going to be alright. I believe.

Masuk minggu ke-2 bulan Januari tahun 2011, I sampai ke Surah Ali-Imran. Sedap nama surah tu. And I always love the name Imran. I miss my parents.

(Ingatlah) ketika isteri Imran berkata:” Tuhanku! [35]

Maka apabila ia melahirkannya, berkatalah ia: “Wahai Tuhanku!

I. And this might be the reason for the tears at the very beginning. I miss them, really.

Ayahanda & Bonda

p/s: Al-Quran dan terjemahan warna biru yang I bawak ke sini tu adalah hadiah dari bapak sebelum I datang ke Australia dulu. Bapak cakap bapak beli guna duit bulanan yang I bagi. Terima kasih bapak.

Mari amalkan

Assalamualaikum my dear diary,

I have been extremely exhausted with heavy workloads very lately. The numerical simulation need to keep on running, and at the same time I can't leave the analytical solution just like that. Bila dah focus solutions, rasa bersalah pulak kalau tak terus membaca untuk literature review. So, curi curi masa baca sebaris dua ayat dalam journal walaupun kadang kadang tak paham langsung!! Bless me Ya Allah~~

Bila berada dalam keadaan tertekan macam ni, tiba tiba teringat amalan yang pernah Maktam turunkan sebelum memulakan perjalanan sebagai pelajar PhD dulu. Dekatkan diri dengan Allah Amirah. Sesungguhnya Dia maha mengetahui. It is completely true!

Ruginya rasa sebab I tak betol betol ikut apa yang Maktam turunkan.. Kalau tak dapat banyak, sikit pun jadi la. Just a matter of sharing.

1) Mula sebelum masuk waktu Maghrib (tak kisah habis bila-24jam)

**KEDUA-DUA AMALAN INI ADALAH SUPAYA DOA MUDAH DIMAKBULKAN**

a) Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Lailahaillallah, Allahuakbar - (100x)
b) Allahumma Salliala Muhammad, Waala Ali Muhammad - (313x)

2) Selepas Maghrib
**UNTUK KEYAKINAN DIRI DAN BERSERAH KEPADA ALLAH**

c) 2 ayat terakhir Surah At-Taubah - (33x)

Maksudnya:

d) Surah At-Talaq, Ayat 2&3 (Ayat Seribu Dinar) - (33x)

Maksudnya:

3) Sepanjang Masa
**DIULANG-ULANG BACA SENTIASA SEPANJANG HARI SEPERTI SEBELUM TIDUR, BANGUN TIDUR, SEBELUM BACA BUKU, BILA PENING, CONFUSE, ETC..**

e) Surah Al-Anbiyaa, Ayat 79

Maksudnya:

Adam in da house

Hellooo!!

Ingat lagi dengan Adam? That adorable little boy that I used to babysit more than one year ago? Well, he was here again last night. Best best best!! Rasa terhibur sangat bila dapat spend masa dengan Adam semalam, walaupun tak sampai 3jam pun.

Memang Adam ni dilahirkan senang nak jaga agaknya. Dia sampai je I terus pasang kartun Wall-E. My all time favourite cartoon. Konon nak kasi Adam tengok la. Padahal I yang nak tengok.hehe.. Ada la dalam setengah jam jugak dia duduk diam mengadap menda alah kartun tu sambil kunyah biskut chipsmore. After that, he started to move all around the house.

Then, it's time for dinner! I suap dia makan nasik lauk kurma ayam. Semangat betol dia makan. Tapi aduhh mencabarnya nak kejar. Satu suap satu pusingan! Memang tak reti letih agaknya ini budak tembam main pusing pusing sambil makan.. -_-" Tapi takpe, puas hati bila tengok licin sepinggan dia makan..=))

You ni memang charming lah Adam.

Kat bawah ni video Adam bercakap in his own language. Aaaaaaaa, rasa macam nak picit picit budak ni. Selamat la anak orang.hehe.

Lepas dah puas main kejar-kejar, I dengan Adam tersandar kat sofa sambung tengok Wall-E sambil tunggu Kak Fish nak ambik Adam balik. Tapi sebelum balik tu, Adam sempat kasi I hadiah lagi. Nak tau ape? His poo poo. hahaha. Alahai Adam.. Nasib baik la I ade pengalaman jage adik kecik. So, takde la kekok sangat..:p

He and his style, memang macho lah!!

All in all, he is such a charming little boy that I really really love to spend my time with. Kalau ada jual baby macam ni dekat Woolies comfirm dah lama I borong.

Obsession

I yakin semua orang dah banyak kali dengar lagu ni dekat radio atau TV. Dah lama pun lagu ni duduk carta No 1 dalam iTunes I. Tapi kali ni bila jumpa videoclip live dari studio, omg, rasa macam tak nak tutup iPod ni. I keep playing this song over and over again. Never get bored. He is such a talented singer and musician I could say. Enjoy this live performance from Mophonic Studio, NY and here is the lyrics for you to sing a long.

Presenting: Bruno Mars - Grenade

Easy come, Easy go
That's just how you live oh
Take, take, take it all
But you never give

Should have known
You was trouble
From the first kiss
Had your eyes wide open
Why were they open?

Gave you all I had
And you tossed it in the trash,
Tossed it in the trash you did
To give me all your love
Is all I ever asked
'Cause what you don't understand is

I'd catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah)
Throw my head on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, )
I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah, )
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, ) Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain,
Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for you baby
But you won't do the same

Black, black, black and blue
Beat me till I'm numb
Tell the devil I said "hey" when you get back to where you're from
Mad woman, bad woman,
That's just what you are, yeah,
You'll smile in my face then
Rip the brakes out my car

Gave you all I had
And you tossed it in the trash
You tossed it in the trash, yes you did
To give me all your love
Is all I ever asked
Cause what you don't understand is

I'd catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, )
Throw my head on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, )
I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah, )
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, ) Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain,
Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for you baby
But you won't do the same

If my body was on fire, ooh
You' d watch me burn down in flames
You said you loved me you're a liar
Cause you never, ever, ever did baby...

But darling I'll still catch a grenade for ya
Throw my head on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, )
I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah, )
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, ) Oh, oh

I would go through all this pain,
Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for you baby
But you won't do the same.

p/s: Siapa boleh nyanyi sambil main gitar lagu ni macam dia? Memang tabik spring lah!!=))

I Love You, Mom

Dear diary,

I received an email from my mum a couple of days ago. The contents are basically about how a mother's love is considered as instinctual, unconditional, and forever. And I would like to share one part of the email that gives me a really good significant in my life. Check this out..

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby,
Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, 'normal' is history.
* * *
Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct,
Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
* * *
Somebody said being a mother is boring,
Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.
* * *
Somebody said if you're a 'good' mother, your child will 'turn out good',
Somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.
* * *
Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother,
Somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.
* * *
Somebody said you can't love the second child as much as you love the first,
Somebody doesn't have two children.
* * *
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery,
Somebody never watched her 'baby' get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten,
or
on a plane headed for military 'boot camp.'
* * *
Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married,
Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heart strings.
* * *
Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home,
Somebody never had grandchildren.
* * *
Somebody said your mother knows you love her,
so you don't need to tell her...
Somebody definitely isn't a mother.

So, keep telling your mother that you love her while you still can. I believe they are the best words that she would love to hear.

Bila peluk mak rasa macam hilang semua masalah dunia.

Allah knows best

Assalamualaikum,

I worked a little harder today, focusing on the solution of the Carnahan Starling formula. I have been working on it since like ages ago and eventually, the solutions are still way too far from what I wanted.

I kept on working on it to the extent that I really can't stand it anymore. I suddenly went out from the room, without concentrating on where my legs brought me, I ended up crying at the pond somewhere around uni. I cried, cried, and cried. For all my never ending difficulties.

It's really frustrating when you put all your efforts in doing something, but the results turned out to be the other way around. People say if you put your energy into something, you can actually make it happen. Somehow it didn't. Why? The question kept on lingered.

After about ten minutes of staring at nothing, then I heard my heart says, turn to Allah. Yes, I need to turn to Him. Now I feel so down, hopeless, lost in finding my way out of this terrible situation, and today is just like an awful day for me, then I realized that nobody would ever understand, except for Him.

So I went back to my office, performed my Zuhur prayer, then I sat down and think about the definition of success. It means a refusal to be beaten by failure. Then what brings about progress? A determination not to stand still. And for my case, success might not there yet, but at least, the progress is on it's way.

I need to bear in mind that this is all about a journey of learning on how to do a research. You got to learn A LOT before you can actually reach it's end. So whenever I feel that everything is going wrong, it is just Allah's way, to make my spirit strong. InsyaAllah.

Sorry, I'm taken

Dear diary,

I was sitting next to an old lady on the bus when she suddenly asked me, "What did your husband got you for Christmas?" I was like errr.. "Hmm, nothing I suppose". Then she said, "Now you go back and kick his butt for me, will you?". I was laughing like mad when I finally replied, "How can I get anything from my HUSBAND as I'm not even married yet?". She looked at me a bit puzzled, and then she touched my left ring finger (yang ada cincin belah rotan tu). Just before she starts saying anything, I explained, "This ring is from my mum and I have kept it ever since". Then she smiled and apologized for her false interpretation.

Now you see how a lady with a ring on her finger will always mistakenly inferred as a married woman. A lot of people have asked if I am, the truth is I'm not. I mean not yet. Just misleading I guess. It is their culture that only married woman will have ring on their ring finger, and everybody traditionally knows what that means to the world. "I'm taken". Women know that. Men know that. Well, it's rather our own personal choice. So, who cares?

Gorgeous, isn't it?

Here's a tip to all great men out there. If you want to approach a girl and aren't sure if the ring is "the one" or not, I say just do it. Go up to them and ask if their taken. Don't be afraid to approach someone and say "Excuse me. I noticed the ring on your finger and I was wondering what it means". Ha, macho gila kannnn??? Yes, Both of you might feel uncomfortable. But hey, it's either her loss for wearing a ring on that finger or your fault for being too afraid for asking.

And for girls, sometimes you just want to hang out with friends without being asked out. Be it you are already taken, or maybe not yet ready for commitment, so here's a solution, put on a ring, then you can walk confidently as it will keeps guys away. That's the easiest way to do it..=))
Well for my case, a ring may be deeply meaningful as it represents a connection to the heart which is associated with our feelings of affection and love. From these small pieces of jewelry, we may draw memory and enhancement of emotions such as love and loyalty. Hah, ambik kau kan dah kena explain panjang panjang. Tetiba jadi emo pulak. kahkahkah.

Once a girl, always a girl

I'm so excited! I'm so excited!

Hari ni I dengan semangatnya bangun pagi dalam pukul 6.15am lepas tu terus siap dengan semangatnya sebab nak memeriahkan Boxing Day kat Bondi Junction, Sydney. Hang on, you tau tak Boxing Day tu apa? I told you a couple of times already, remember? If you don't, pergi check balik okay. Ni bukan boxing macam Mike Tyson or Prince Naseem tu, bukan!

TETAPI!! Walaupun banyak dengar suara suara jahat dok menghasut I suruh beli itu ini (setan la tu, apa lagi?), Alhamdulillah I berjaya menahan nafsu dari tergoda. Phewww!! I'm proud of being myself today you know. Bangga sangat! Sebenanya memang I takde pun duit berkepuk kepuk macam orang lain, sebab tu yang tak mampu nak membeli sangat. Tapi KALAU ada orang cakap, "Nah Amirah, ambik 1000 dollar ni, pergi habiskan jangan tinggal balance satu sen pun ". Ha, gimme half an hour, I can finish up the whole amount just within a single flip.. Omg, I revealed one black side of me.. Shhh..

Anyhow, I eventually ended up with buying something that really satisfied me. Mana boleh tak beli langsung. Helloo, it's Boxing Day okayyy!! Once a year event. Musti kena sambar satu jugak ooo.. Nak tau apa yang I beli?? A clutch bag. Which is made from gorgeous faux leather, has a flap over with magnetic snap fastening, three interior sections, and what I love the most is the removable wrist strap. The colour? Hmm, striking pink lah!!:p

Love at the first sight. Jatuh cinta dengan benda alah ni takpe. No harm done rite? :p

You know what, masa mula mula tengok je I terus cair. Chewah!! Then bila tengok harga beg lain yang kat sebelah dia, GULP!!! semua $190++. Okay, comfirm I tak berani sentuh beg ni. Serius tak mampu! Gila oii nak beli clutch bag harga RM600++. Tak sedar diri jugak kau ni ye Amirah. Tapi bila tengok harga AUD24.98, I was like WHAT??? Ni salah pricing ke apa ni? I suruh Laili tengok kot kot I tertinggal angka 1 at depan, nope!! Memang tu la harga dia. Terus senyum sampai telinga. Ngeee..

Tanpa berlengah2, I pergi bayar terus. Cuak jugak masa kat kaunter takut tiba tiba harga tukar jadi amount lain, comfirm la I letak balik dengan kecewa.huhu. But the pink clutch bag is meant to be mine I guess and I was more than happy to get something that I really really wanted. Bila balik tu, I terus check online, Mischa Barton Handbags collection, the original price is actually almost 5 times higher than the one I paid. Okay, memang berbaloi bershopping masa Boxing Day, tak syak lagi!=))

So, I got a new clutch bag to be added into my collection now. Owh, I think it matches the clutch purse that Mr Bf bought for me very perfectly. Tak sabar nak pakai yeay!!

Owh, thank you so much for this sayang! =))

Bosannya bila omputih nak raya!!

Dear diary,

I'm still at uni while everybody else has gone back, leaving me all alone in this almost empty building. I walked through the quiet library with not many more people left. It has ended it's operation by now I suppose. Then I strolled down the hall and passed by UniBar, they too were already closed. Same goes to all other coffee shops, their services stopped since yesterday. Gosh! Getting marooned in an unalive place like this is a real bummer you know.

See how empty the library is.

It seems like I had stranded in a real empty planet with no human life. Peliknye rasa bila jalan tapi tak jumpa manusia yang boleh I senyum. Jumpa burung 3-4 ekor, then I senyum la kat burung burung tu, sudahnya dia terbang tinggalkan I sorang sorang balik. Hey, jahat tau kamu ni burung! Could you please at least smile back to me. huhu.. Diorang pun pelik agaknya tengok manusia ni buat apa lagi kat sini. Kalau dia boleh cakap agaknya mesti dia kata, "Pergi balik la woii!! Orang nak raya ni!!".

I love these parrots. At least diorang respon bila I cakap dgn diorang. Burung kat dalam uni I tamau kawan! Merajuk!

The university has now officially closed for almost two weeks due to the celebration of Christmas and New Year Eve. We are not encouraged to be around the uni since all the security services will be terminated within these two weeks. So how? Ohhh!!

Okay lah, I think I should get going now. Wanna grab something from Woolies as it's gonna be closed for two days starting from tomorrow. Whether or not I will come to work next week, it depends on my mood. Kalau diikutkan persekitaran camni, nampak gayanya memang tidak le. Tapi KALAU tiba tiba datang angin rajin tu, datang je la jenguk jenguk sekejap.

p/s: Tomorrow I wanna go prawning and the day after next I wanna go shopping. Boxing Day is here again. Mari mengabiskan duit yang memang tak berapa nak banyak ni. lalalala~

Pick my own berries

Happy summer day mate!!

If you are looking for one interesting activity during summer, I would suggest you to go for fruit picking. Why? It is really fun and if I were to have another chance, I don't mind doing it again next time. Really. Well, I went to a farm yesterday with some of my Malaysian friends from Wollongong. Nestled on the banks of the wild and scenic Clyde River, lies the Clyde River Berry Farm which is surrounded by the highly valuable untouch environment.

The entrance

I was very lucky to have the "hands on" experience of picking my own berries and then only I realize that nothing tastes better than the berries picked freshly in the height of summer by my own hands. There are different types of berries grown at the farm; blueberry, loganberry, youngberry, strawberry, tayberry, raspberry, marionberry, boysenberry and blackberry. Aduhh, berapa banyak berry daaaaa.. Tapi dalam banyak banyak berries yang disenaraikan tu, I cuma tau blueberry, strawberry, raspberry dgn blackberry je. The rest, I know nothing about!

Blueberries

Raspberries

Boysenberries.. I think..

Right on the arrival, we were given a bucket and the owner directed us to the 'berries of the day' in the ripest section of the farm. She gave some instructions about this and that and bla bla bla, then I started to hunt and gather berries of my own choice. Ohh, excitednye! Orang tak penah masuk kebun omputih camni la gayanya. Rasa tak tentu arah nak petik yang mana. Semua nampak sedapppp.

Bersedia menjadi tukang kutip berries tak bertauliah

Mari main petik petik blueberries, yay!

Raspberries pun sedap. Tapi banyak duri lah!

Mixed berries. Hasil titik peluh membanting tulang mengerah keringat.hihi..:p

Masa memetik tu, I carik yang gemok gemok and warna yang pekat pekat dengan harapan dapat yang manis. Lagi pekat warna berries tu, lagi manis la rasa dia. Tapi I takde la petik banyak sangat pon. Dapat berangan jadi pekebun berries kejap pun jadik la. Nak tunggu ade farm sendiri?? Pakai idak le jawabnya. Lepas dah puas petik memetik, I siap beli ice cream blueberry freshly made in front of you from the fresh berries. Satu AUD5. Mahal kan? Tapi sedap gila! Tak tipu! Worth the money paid.

Homemade blueberry flavored ice cream. Nyam nyam!

p/s: Bila cerita pasal berries ni I teringat ayat one of my friends. Perkataan lain untuk poo poo or buang air besar or b***k, dia panggil berry. Sedap je bunyi nak terberry instead of the other word nak terb***k.. Comel kan?? hihihi. Hey hey, apa yang you mengarut ni Amirah?? ;O

Ferrero Rocher anyone?

Hello there!

I'm in such a happy mood today. Just got back from Warrawong for some groceries shopping. I didn't buy anything much since I can hardly see myself cooking anymore these days. Well, Christmas sale are everywhere now and I had fun wandering around the mall looking at things and made a quick stop at each and every shop especially the ones with big SALE sign. Takde niat nak shopping pun. Saja jalan jalan cuci mata..:p

However, among all those items with big red REDUCED PRICE's sign, I just couldn't say no to chocolates. They were like trying to attract me with their exquisite, alluring and delightful looks, that fit my pure self indulgence very perfecly. Very tempting! The classic Ferrero Rocher. Chocolate of my all time favourite.

I think almost everybody in the whole universe must be aware of the existence of this Italian product. Just so you know it, every piece of this brilliant chocolate consists of a whole roasted hazelnut, encased in a thin wafer shell filled with hazelnut cream, sheltered in slim layer of milk chocolate and covered with chopped hazelnuts and walnuts. To add the classy looking value, each sweet is individually packaged inside a gold-coloured wrapper. Yummy!

Perfect assembling, don't they?

So, I bought myself four boxes of Ferrero Rocher with 16 pieces of golden balls inside every box. Yes, you heard me right sweetie, four boxes! No kidding! They are all for me. Ni bukan main main tau, ni betol betol. Laaaaagi baaanyaaakkk, laaaaggiiiii I sukaaaaa. hehehe.

My four 16-pieces boxes. Now you see?

No lah! I was just kidding you darling. Gila apa nak habiskan semua tu? If I ever do that, right when I finished the very last bit, I think my face is gonna look like a sphere headed alien covered with milk chocolate and chopped hazelnuts, just like the ones described above. Omg, scary nye! Tamau! Tamau! Okay la, actually I'm gonna let go two of these boxes to my supervisor and Diane as Christmas presents. The remaining two will be mine. But I promise not to take more than two pieces every day. Okay or not? Okay, deal! Yahuuu!

p/s: Every piece of these contains of 69 kilocalories and there are 32 pieces inside the two boxes. Meaning that I'm gonna consume roughly about 2208 kilocalories just from these whole lot. Hmm, banyak tu. Do I care? No, I surely didn't give it a damn! Ngahahahaha..:D

Enjoying a Wonderful Day

Dear diary,

How is your day going? Mine is wonderful so far. I woke up immediately when the alarm clock rang in the morning and of course I gave in to the desire of staying some more minutes in the bed. You do know how pleasant it is to cuddle under the blankets, especially on a cold morning, don't you? That's why I will give myself at least 5 minutes of golek golek session every morning. Best!

Owh, I picked up a new positive habit very lately. Everyday I will try to find a way to spend some time reading outside from my working space. I occasionally did that before this, especially when I started to feel so intense while reading. Some readers can't concentrate when there's any noise around them, while others can read anywhere under almost any conditions. So, if you don't know what your ideal conditions are, try reading in different locations. You may find that you have several great reading spots.

For my case, I found it fun to spend about one hour reading at the park, on the grass, under the trees or by the pond. All I need are some tidbits to munch, reading materials, a piece of draft paper, and a pen or pencil, then I'm ready to experience something different through my reading session.

Chips with gravy.. munch! munch!

My reading materials and draft paper

Did I ever mentioned that my uni is actually surrounded by so many big trees? Masa mula mula sampai dulu I rasa macam duduk dalam hutan. I have no idea) yang macam kat dalam hutan tu. Walaupun banyak pokok besar camtu, tapi persekitaran sangat lah bersih, susah sangat la nak jumpa daun daun kering bersepah. Nak tengok bukti kenapa I cakap macam hutan, ha, tengok video kat bawah ni, dengar betul betul bunyi alam sekitar yang sangat menenangkan.

The reason why I love studying in Wollongong

Tapi sambil membaca, sempat la jugak buat benda laghaa.hihi.. The ring that has been on my finger since couple of years ago. He is wearing the exact same piece as well. For us, these couple rings are something precious that can never be replaced.

The ring

The secret behind the ring

p/s: The secret of living your life happily; Remember to smile more often during the day. Not the artificial smiles, but the ones that come from inside you. Smiling sometimes helps to make you and other people feel happier. So, why not give it a try?
